THQ Announces Three New WWE Titles [E3]

THQ has renewed their agreement with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and will be launching not one, not two, but three WWE related titles in the near future.

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 is the centerpiece of THQ’s WWE offering. The latest edition will boast of one of the largest rosters in franchise history, with more than 70 of today’s prominent WWE superstars and divas. Among other things, it will also feature an improved physics system and enhanced graphics to pump up the realism. It will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, PlayStation(R) 2, PSP and Wii on October 26.

THQ will also launch an online edition of its wrestling games for North Korea. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw Online will be available only for the PC and is scheduled to ship in early 2011. Players will have the option of creating their own characters or selecting from the in-game roster of current WWE Superstars, including John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio.

Finally, THQ WWE All Stars will pit today’s most promising superstars against the yesteryear’s legends. THQ claims that All Stars will have a distinctive, fluid, intuitive and original gameplay style for an over the top and exhilarating gameplay experience. This game will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, PlayStation2, PSP and Wii in early 2011.
